In a minor move today, the Toronto Blue Jays have designated reliever Scott Maine for assignment to make room on the 40-man roster for the newly acquired Maicer Izturis and Jeremy Jeffress.
Maine was claimed by the Blue Jays from the Cleveland Indians all the way back on October 31, 2012.
