Do we call him "Throw DMC"?
If not I say we start.

True, but two things are wrong with that
1) That nickname belongs to Darren McFadden, who (as a running back) deserves it more
2) How much running does Dusty do? Certainly not as much as McFadden.

Darren McFadden's nickname is "Run-DMC" (or DMc)
Dustin McGowan’s nickname is “No Run-DMc” because he does not allow runs (I can see why it wasn’t clear from the wording of the previous comment though)
Anyone else find this line odd?
In the last paragraph:
The odds against him ever making it back are still stacked against him, but if anyone can parlay his equal parts talent and desire into history..it’s McGowanI mean, he’s already been back. And the stuff was pretty good, if not exactly sharp (no shocker for a guy who hadn’t faced MLB hitting in 3 years). If Griffin is getting at the chance to be something like he was before – above average MLB pitcher – does he know something about his medicals we don’t? At this point, with him healthy and having seen that the stuff is still okay, I’d say the odds aren’t exactly stacked against him, at least in the conventional meaning of that term.
exactly what i was thinking when i finished reading the article. It sounds as though Griffin is skeptical McGowan can win a spot in the rotation or as if he is the underdog
