Make Your Prediction: The Super Bowl
Since there is nothing for baseball news, give us your guess for the winner and the final score of the football game, and anything else you'd like to take a guess at, like how many times they turn the camera to Peyton Manning.
I'll guess 30-24 Patriots. And more shots of Payton manning that I can count.

24-21 Giants in OT
Yeah, I know there has never been a Super Bowl that went into OT, but I’m going with it anyway.

why did they name this sport FOOTBALL?
“lets go play some football” throws a NON-CIRCULAR ‘ball’ with HAND

“a round or roundish body, of various sizes and materials, either hollow or solid, for use in games, as baseball, football, tennis, or golf.”
legitimately curious
what other balls are not spherical? also the ‘you don’t throw a ball with a base’ reply is the best rebuttle ive ever gotten by anyone for that statement :)

rugby ball, for one
which isn’t surprising, since American football seems to have derived from rugby football (according to Wiki, “rugby” is actually called “rugby football”)
never really thought of rugby having a ball, always referred to it as a ‘rugby’ :p but fair enough. very interesting that rugby is actually rugby football, never heard that before. wiki knows all.

Rugby
is named after a town in England where it was invented..Football has nothing to do with kicking a ball. It just means the game is played on foot, compared to the noble medieval games that were played on horseback…thus, so many different games of the same name.
this is why I love BBB

it does have to do with kicking a ball
the game has evolved such that the optimal strategy involves rarely kicking it
Bowls?
For some weird reason they sometimes show those contests live on Eurosport.
"They had players who had more hair on their backs than on their heads. Obviously they have more experience," Thomas MĂĽller of Bayern Munich after losing against Inter Milan.
Will there be a game thread?
or is this it?

That commercial...
is placed in an arena that is a 5 minutes walk from where i live.
In AA we trust.
That commercial...
would be a lot cooler if it was original.

still cool as a cucumber
+1 is only good if you actually rec the post

I think it was fake.
Overall don’t like the commercial. I’m in the minority I think.
"And I'm like forget Yuuuuuu"
I loved it
there is a “making of” commercial too. it’s probably not going to change your mind if you didn’t like it, but I thought it was a great idea
I just don't understand why that makes me want to buy their beer anymore than before.
Which is supposed to be what commercials accomplish in the end.
"And I'm like forget Yuuuuuu"
it makes me like AB-Inbev more than before
not by much anyway, but I’m not a particularly responsive person to advertising
It shouldn't
Interbrew (predecessor to Inbev) were partially responsible for the decline in the Jays in the late 90s after they bought out Labatt’s
that would just make my starting likey-ness lower
it wouldn’t affect how that commercial altered my likey-ness
Or just have a third straight day of midterms tomorrow.
Doc Halladay’s note you suggested seems like a good idea.
"And I'm like forget Yuuuuuu"
CTV is the worst
Seeing crappy local commercials for http://www.waterloogaragedoors.com during the superbowl was probably the worst idea ever. Only good commercial the whole night was that rec hockey one, and I don’t even like hockey.
That M&Ms commercial was awesome…
Here's my attempt at a witty sig. Didn't really go so well, methinks.
Wise men wonder, while strong men die.
