Rusty Staub leads 2012 class into Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame - National Post
Le Grand Orange highlights this years induction class in St. Mary's, Ontario. Former Major League pitcher Rheal Cormier, Brewers GM Doug Melvin, and the 2011 Canada Men's team who won Gold at the Pan-Am Games in Mexico. Staub was a great player in Montreal, he was the face of the franchise when playing for the Expos in the early 1970's. He was traded from Detroit back to Montreal in summer of 1979, a puzzling move since he had been DHing for Detroit and really didn't have a spot on the 1979 Expos team who were battling Pittsburgh for the division title. Regardless, he was welcomed back with open arms and he is remembered as one of the greatest Expos of all time. Looks like a good induction class.

I highly recommend making your way to St. Mary's this June
I’m a member at the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame and I go to St. Mary’s often. It’s a great little town and a great museum. Really friendly people. The Hall of Fame is currently based out of an old two story house outside of St. Mary’s, and they use the top floor for storage, restricting them to a very small space to display their great collection and set up a shop. They are looking to relocate to an old school building closer to downtown, but since they receive very little funding from the government, the Hall of Fame is forced to rely on events like these for funding. If you are able, take a Saturday and go to St. Mary’s this June. Fergie Jenkins, and Roberto Alomar were there last year chatting, along with the 2011 inductees. Alex Anthopoulos also goes anually and he’s nice enough to answer some questions one-on-one with fans. A beautiful town and wonderful museum, come if you can!
