Pitcher: Matt Moore or Madison Bumgarner (Kershaw is better, but much less surplus value since he’s now an arb pitcher)
Hitter: Longoria

This scares me

The fact that somehow, we would choose both a Rays pitcher and hitter. Imagine switching teams straight up right now. We’d have 75K a game.

I'm 50/50 on Moore/Strasburg

I think Stras is the better pitcher, but Moore’s contract is just so wonderful.

Lawrie looked pretty good there and in a pinch, Bautista fills 3B nicely. I’d go with Strasburg and Harper. Although the thought of Lawrie and Harper on the same team together is frightening. All hail Jerkball!!

that would be good

only owed an average of $10 or so over the next 4 seasons, but it’s hard to take him over a guy who gets 6 years of team control with 2 or 3 years at league minimum.

still think I’d take Trout, but I certainly wouldn’t fault anyone for taking Pedey. he’s a great player

I personally prefer Harper but Trout is a fine choice too

Steven Hawking mentioned that in his “A brief history of time”. If I remember correctly the Lawrie Clone, the Clawrie. Would instantly create a black hole so large that nothing within the universe could escape and the Clawrie would engulf all matter in our known universe into his bicepts and utter the phrase to end the universe. “Ya Dude”.
