Lyle Spencer of MLB.com thinks Blue Jays are next beast in the East
This is my first fanpost so be please kind if I mess anything up.
Blue Jays poised to be AL East's newest beast
Lyle Spencer claims that the Blue Jays are following in the Rays example and are becoming a force to be reckoned with in the AL East. Pesonally, I feel the same way about the Jays and hope that they do bcome the next AL East power. With our prospects, the Jays seem to be set and it could be as soon as this year that we begin to compete. As you can see by my username, I am a big fan of Brett Lawrie and I think he will become a top three 3B this year, so if he does do well he will therefore provide protection for Bautista and we could finally see all of what Bautista has to offer. So I was wondering, were do you guys think the Jays will finish this year. I put up a poll, but it would also be great if you could leave a comment on where the Jays will finish and why.
If I did anything wrong please tell me.

+1 is only good if you actually rec the post
while I agree with your premise
it seemed to be bluejays13 meant formatting-wise, not “don’t tell me I’m wrong!!!111”
we’ve always seen lots of people accidentally/wrongly post links to articles as FanPosts, so I think that’s okay in this case (as long as he meant it how I interpreted it)
either way
we don’t scorn you for messing it up, we educate

We can be quite critical at times
There’s a reason why every new poster says “please be kind.”
Hic sunt fortuna dracones
There is only 1 "n" in Hutchison
and as mentioned before
it comes with the teritory, if you don’t want people to critique don’t post
Most have been pretty good with laying off the snarky comments, things are looking up.

spelling error
So I was wondering, werewhere do you guys think the Jays will finish this year
BURN HIM AT THE STAKE!!!!
The Jays have a lot to be optimistic about, but
It will all come down to the pitching. I think our offense will be much improved, with KJ replacing Hill, a full season of Lawrie, Encarnacion at DH for a full season (where, for whatever reason, he seems to perform better, offensively), and Rasmus at center. Yes, Bautista will probably regress, but with only a little luck, 1B and LF are our only real question marks, and they could both potentially be at least adequate. So, the offense, in my opinion, will be fine.
Our bullpen should also be fine. But beyond Romero and Morrow, we really have to cross our fingers. And this has me worried. So, yes, the Jays could surprise and even win 90 games. Or, in a tough division with an uncertain rotation, they could be around the 81 they won last year.
Any regression by Bautista...
will be more than cancelled out by centre field not being a black hole in the lineup this year. Even with Bautista regression (2 wins?), our outfield should still be 3-4 wins better.

i doubt bautista will regress...
he seems to be getting better with age, and he will have (hopefully) more support with brett lawrie this year.
In AA we trust.
he has to start aging at some point
he’s not that young, and it’s incredibly difficult to sustain a 7 WAR/season pace. that’s Ken Griffey Jr. in his prime category
Alvarez
I think he’ll turn into a really solid #3 guy for us. I’m predicting that we’ll be in contention all year this year and AA will go out and secure us the services of another front-end type starter.
Of course it’s Feb 10 here in Japan and I’m thinking the team will do big things this year. We’ll revisit in 4 months to see if I’m right. If I am, MjwW has to send me some Canadian Beer. I don’t think it’s a federal crime for you guys.
i really liked Alvarez last year...
and i think he and romero will be 1a and 1b with morrow as a solid number 3
In AA we trust.
