Please, Oh Please can we have REAL Grass in RC?
If anyone has some new ideas of how this could work or if you have any ideas of how to improve Rogers Centre Nee: Skydome in general please comment below.

Here we go again!
Toronto would need to build some sort of new venue to hold all the events that they do at the RC, e.g a new football field.
Wouldn’t you rather get a new baseball stadium then a football one?
They would probably have to move either team outside of downtown to get the real estate.
The Skydome’s functionality is more profitable then having real grass.
+1 is only good if you actually rec the post
Slide-out pitch?
Well, if they hadn’t plastered the area with those apartment buildings, there would’ve been enough space for that. Unless, of course, they move the Steamwhistle roundhouse a bit eastwards.
However, I could imagine that a rebuilding process like this would almost cost as much as a completely new stadium.
"They had players who had more hair on their backs than on their heads. Obviously they have more experience," Thomas Müller of Bayern Munich after losing against Inter Milan.
The amount of grass required for the Dome
Would be illegal… Wait???! What?!?
Dave’s not here, man.
In honor of the Jays 2nd Baseman who played with fire in more ways than one.

Is grass better when you are high
or would it be more of an improvement in the lower seats…

They use portable lighting systems
in some NFL stadiums to keep the grass green in the middle of winter. They are expensive but it could be a Skydome option.

they have portable modules, 12'X12' or something like that
that you can move off site to a nursery, they could pour a dirt infield when the grass was in, that would leave the stadium multi-purpose.
Paul Beeston on the Fan 590 Feb. 14
“Do I think it’s going to happen? No. Do I think it could happen? Yes.”
What a weasel, it’s time to ditch Beeston, I’m really getting sick of the double-talk. This is twice in the last few months he’ll get the casual fan base agitated, first time being the payroll comments. makes me wonder if he actually is in any kind of loop.
I think what he's saying is
Yes, in theory, it is possible for the Jays to go to natural grass, but no, Rogers is unlikely to pay the costs involved with doing the conversion because the business case for doing so is unappealing.
