Tentative Deal struck for Eastern League Team as soon as 2013... Jays affiliate?

It would be great to have another Canadian city affiliated with the Jays along with Vancouver. Fingers crossed…

Kevin Gray reported back in Nov (I believe) that when the Red Sox waived their territorial rights to allow a team into Mancester, NH, that the condition was they couldn’t change to a AAA designation. I can’t see the Red Sox waiving that.
That's disappointing
How could the Ottawa citizen not have known that? They’ve been the ones throwing all this stuff out there.

and NH is a good place for AA, I don’t see why they’d move

Another team, I’ve read it might be the Erie Seawolves or a Southern League club, will be relocating to Ottawa, and I assume the Jays will look into signing a PDC with the new Ottawa club.
Ottawa joining the Southern League would be horrible!

It probably wasn't even a credible source
But if there was to be a relocation of a southern league team to Ottawa I assume the team would become part of the eastern league, I hope so at least… I know that there are a couple teams, the Montgomery Biscuits and Jackson Generals, who have been struggling to average 2, 000 a game for a few seasons now. Ottawa could do better than that

A link from the Ottawa Lynx wiki article indicates that by the end of the Lynx’s run, they were drawing fewer than 1,000 fans per game.
