Go Easy, Step Lightly, Stay Free - Game 44, Jays at Phillies

I'm not a fan of interleague play. I am, however, a fan of the Clash, the greatest band of all time. It's been a crazy week for me - we just got an extremely favourable opinion from the judge in a huge case I'm working on, which was very exciting. Of course, now we have less than 6 weeks to prepare for a month-long trial, so things aren't getting any easier! But it's been a great week, though I'm exhausted.

Anyway, rince has done up a quarterly report card on the Jays' hitters and as you might expect, the results aren't pretty. I can't say I disagree too much with his assessments, though I might upgrade Overbay and Zaun to Cs. The Jays are back to 1 game under .500, which is amazing. It'd be great if they could win today and make it all the way above water.

Blair has a long and interesting post today . He thinks the Jays might get Khalil Greene, which would be cool. He's young, a good fielder, and hits for power. According to my brother, he also looks like Spicoli from Fast Times at Ridgemont High.

Anyway, David Purcey makes his second start today for the Jays, while Jamie Moyer pitches for Philadelphia. It should be interesting to see Purcey, who's pitched well this season, against one of the top lineups in the NL. Let's go Jays!
