Tuesday, Dirk Hayhurst published a piece called "Minor League Manhood. A first-hand account of masculine sports culture run amok" on "Sports on Earth" describing what he experienced in his minor league days regarding the treatment of women by baseball players, among other things having witnessed rape.

Yesterday, Stacey May Fowles from The Walrus responded with an article called "Foul Territory", in which she critically discusses Hayhurst's role, reactions to the original article, the claim that Hayhurst showed heroics in publishing the article, and the general social implications of what he described.
