Minor League Summary July 4, 2007

Syraucse 6 Richmond (Atlanta) 7
Josh Banks got the start and went 6 innings giving up 9 hits 5 ER giving up 1 walk and striking out 1.Blaine Neal came on in relief and gave up 2 ER to take the loss. Russ Adams pitched in with 2 hits, Reed Johnson went 1-5 and Ray Olmedo went 2-3 with a walk and a run scored.

New Hampshire 3, Binghamton (New York Mets) 4
The F-cats mustered only 2 hits on the day but were ultimately dominated. Marcos Carvajal of the B-Mets allowed 1 hit in 6 innings with 8 Ks and 3 walks shutting down the F-cats so that's why there's no Jay of the game in this one.

Dunedin 9, Fort Myers (Minny) 4
Robert Ray started and pitched 4 strong innings with 6Ks 2 hits given up and one run allowed via the long ball. Luke Hetherington was 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk. Hetherington is currently hitting .319. Josh Kreuzer also pitched in with 3 hits and is hitting .328 with an OPS of 1.003 time for a promotion? Jacob Butler also hit a grand slam in the bottom of the 7th but was just 1-4 on the day.

Lansing 4, South Bend(Arizona) 3
Lansing only mustered 3 hits for the win but it was a sloppy game with a total of 5 errors made by both teams. Travis Snider was 0-3 on the night but had another 2 walks. Zach Dials ptiched 5 with 6 hits given but with no Ks. Po-Hsuan Keng pitched 2 hitless innings with 3 Ks to pick up the win.

Auburn 3, Batavia 2 (St. Louis) - 11 innings
Manny Rodriguez had a 3 for 5 night at the plate with a double to hit .340 so far.JP Arencibia had a rough night going 0-4 with 3Ks. The pitching performances were strong on both sides with Kyle Walter going 5 strong with 5Ks and giving up an unearned run.

GCL Braves 8 vs GCL Jays 4
The Jays struck out a total of 9 times including 3 by Balbino Fuenmayor who had a tough 0-5 night. Kevin Ahrens went 1-3 with a double and a walk but he also had 2Ks. He also had a throwing error. Justin Jackson went 3 for 5 with a triple.
