Glaus linked to Steroids

SI report

Star-divide

In the wake of the reports that Rick Ankiel got HGH while he was recovering from surgery come reports that Glaus got anabolic steroids during a period when he was battling shoulder injuries. Is this a case of players trying to use PEDs to get back to their own natural abilities quickly after getting injured, or using the injury as a chance to take something without worrying about getting tested?

If it is for injury
I do condone it because it is actually pretty stupid to say that we shouldn't use our technological advances that actually make our quality of life better.

Injury Recovery
I can see why he would use'em to help recover from injury.  I always wondered how pros could recover so quickly from injury while it took me 6 months to recover from an ankle injury before I started running again.

Same
I have been plagued with ankle problems over the last 3 years.

knee for me
first I tore my ACL and MCL on the same extremely ugly soccer play back in college, then this year ruptured my ITB snowboarding - that was back in January and it still bothers me when I run. Combine that with general cartilage problems on and off, and I've got what is pretty much a constant problem. I just won't give up running, though.
