Dayn Perry likes the Jays moves

One of my favorite columnists, Dayn Perry, recently wrote that the Blue Jays offseason moves may be enough to propel them into second place, and for various reasons, are very well informed and planned decisions. Check it out at Baseball Prospectus(subscription required).

I think my favorite part of it is how he defends the Lyle Overbay acquisition as one that improves not only the first base defense but the defense from shortstop Russ Adams. Add in the fact that his bat should improve by moving to the Rogers Centre, and you got yourselves a nifty acquisition.
