Game 17 of 162: Boston at Toronto

Thanks to Alpheus for keeping the board running the past few days while I was out of action.

Matt Clement (1-1, 7.00 ERA) vs. Josh Towers (0-3, 9.24 ERA). 1:07 PM EST start.

Clement was awful when he pitched against the Blue Jays on April 13, 2006. He allowed seven earned runs in four innings, highlighted by Vernon Wells' mammoth grand slam to right-center field.

Towers was slightly more effective when he last pitched against the Red Sox, on April 11, 2006. Despite a poor start, he pitched well after the second inning:

Innings 1-2:

IP H R ER BB K HR
2  5 4  4 2  2  0

Innings 3-6:

IP H R ER BB K HR
4  3 0  0 1  2  0
