Since their 9-game losing skid, our friendly Corvidae have gone 14-8, the second-best record in the majors. Even the Red Sox have not been quite as good (14-9).
Some changes: Matt Stairs makes his start at 1st base in place of the injured Lyle Overbay. Curtis Thigpen has been called up, although it is still unclear as to how exactly he will be used (perhaps at 1st base as the right-handed half of the Stairs platoon?).
Doc Halladay makes his second start following his quick recovery from appendectomy. Go get 'em, Doc!
