After a highly disappointing road trip, the Jays return back to the great north to host the Seattle Mariners, who I find it extremely hard not to root for (when they're not playing the Jays), mainly because of Ichiro! Whether its using ice cream to break out of a slump, announcing his plans to reinvent himself as a pitcher on his 40th birthday, or taking business advice from his dog , he's pretty much just the coolest thing around. Is he the best player in baseball? Well, no, but we've seen the best players and they're a bit hard to root for sometimes.
Jesse Litsch will be facing off against L'artista today and his ever growing repetoire of pitches (44 at last count, if they would only let him throw them).
