7/20 Minor League Summary

Buffalo 6, Syracuse 2
The Chiefs had no extra base hits against Jeremy Sowers who had a complete game with 8 strike outs and no earned runs. Barker and Vento both had 2 hits. Adam Lind was 1-3 with a walk.

Conneticut 6, New Hampshire 2 (Game 1)
The FCats left 7 on base. David went 2 for 2 with a sacrifice fly to get the JotG (to make up for next game).

New Hampshire 4, Connecticut 1
David Smith had the FCats only two extra base hits. The JotG goes to Kyle Yates who made his second straight earned run-less game by going 6 innings with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks though he did give up an unearned run.

Dunedin 9, Clearwater 6
A few multi-hit nights with home runs by the DJays. Carl Cota and Josh Kreuzer each had 2 hits and a home run to take the JotG. Cota's homerun in the top of the 9th tied the game and the DJays eventually took it. Jesus Gonzales also had a home run. Brian Jeroloman was 1 for 2 with 2 walks. His OBP is an amazing .440. He is only hitting .260 so if his power or batting average ever comes around he would be a top prospect.

Lansing 6, Burlington 1
The Lugnut pitchers combined for 17 strikeouts as they dominated the Burlington batters. Kyle Ginley  gave up 0ER and had 9Ks with 1 unearned run. He did give up 7 hits though but still good enough to get the JotG. Sharing the JotG is two Matts first Lane who went 3 for 4 with a double and a home run. Matt Luizza went 2 for 3 with 3 RBI and a double to his share. Travis Snider went 1 for 4.

Hudson Valley 9, Auburn 3
JP Arencibia went 1 for 2. Manny Rodriguez was 0-4 with 3 strike outs. Victor Santana had a home run.

GCL Jays 0, GCL Indians 5 - 4 innings (Suspended)
Jimmy Dougher got roughed up with 5ER in 3.1 IP. Justin Jackson did get a hit.
