7/26 Minor League Summary: Shoffit keeps on truckin'

Not to take anything away from the round table discussion for the trade deadline below, click read more to find out how the affiliates did. (They went 5-1).

Rochester 3, Syracuse 2
Rochester won this won in the bottom of the 9th. Russ Adams gets the JotG for his two run home run in the top of the 9th to knot things up. Diaz was 1 for 3. Brian Bass dominated the Chiefs with 7Ks in 7IP with only 3 hits given up.

New Hampshire 4, New Britain 3
David Smith gets the JotG by providing 2 out of FCats hits and all of the offense. He was 2 for 3 with two home runs and 4 RBI.

Dunedin 4, Lakeland 3
Is Brandon Magee back? He pitched like what most thought he could in 7 innings with 7Ks and NO walks and giving up just 3 runs. His ERA is down to 4.04 but with a K rate of 3.74 and a walk rate of 3.44 it's hard to consider him top 20 material.

Lansing 8, Clinton 3
Kyle Ginley still strikeouts a lot of guys while giving up a fair number of hits. He gave up 2 runs (1 earned) in 5IP with 6 Ks. With a BABIP a .370 you can see why he is rated highly by some. The JotG goes to Jonathan Jaspe and Sean Shoffit. Shoffit was the table setter in this game as he went 1 for 1 with 4 walks. Is there a golden truck? Japse was 2-4 with 4 RBIs who had a feast due to Shoffit. Snider was 0 for 4.

Auburn 10, Tri-City 3
The JotG goes to a Tri-DDay (cheesy? yep). Matt Zeskind, Adam Calderone, and Manny Rodriguez each had a home run, combining for 7 RBI and 8 hits.

GCL Jays 1, GCL Braves 0
Jimmy Dougher continues to pitch well in the GCL going 5 shut out innings with just 1 hit and 3 strike outs. He did walk 3 but he still gets the JotG. He shares it with Jacob Cook who pitched 2 innings of relief with 4Ks. Chavez had the winning single in the top of the 9th. Fuenmayor and Collins had a double.
