Well, yesterday sure was crappy. The Jays try to salvage one day today as Shaun Marcum faces Javier Vasquez, who has been great this season and has finally brought his performance in line with his peripherals.
For those interested in the continuing story of Sparrow, my least-favorite non Richard Griffin Blue Jays writer chronicles the team's reaction to Sparrow's outburst yesterday. Wells and Zaun have harsh words for Sparrow, and I'm right in line with Zaun, who simply said "as players, it's not our job to criticize each other." For his part, J.P. actually defends Sparrow, saying that his outburst is "no big deal [to him]."
