8/15 Minor League Summary

Jays Organizational Player of the Day:
Kevin Ahrens.

Ahrens has had a tough in the GCL and is currently hitting .212. Like most of the young guys on the GCL Blue Jay team they are all struggling to adapt to life in the pros. There seems to be a (good) problem with depth between Fuenmayor and Ahrens though Ahrens does also share time with Justin Jackson at short. Either way it's a very crowded infield but Ahrens should be given every opportunity to success. Hopefully he can keep on track as he has hit safely in his last 5 of 6 games. He will be given every opportunity to success as the Jays' top pick of this year.

Scranton/Wilkes-Barre 8, Syracuse 2
Mark Redman started this one and allowed 6 runs in 4 innings.

New Hampshire 3, New Britain 2
Ryan Patterson gets the golden sombrero with 4Ks. Kyle Yates get the JotG allowing just 2ER in 8 innings but only struck out two.

Dunedin 9, Sarasota 3
The DJays were very efficient scoring 9 runs on 10 hits. The JotG goes to Anthony Hatch was 2 for 5 with a double and home run and 2 RBI. Brian Jeroloman was tried at 2B. Interesting.

GCL Jays 7, GCL Tigers 2
JotG: Kevin Ahrens was 2 for 4 with a home run and 2 RBI.
