Sorry, I can't type his name, I just can't do it. Anyway, after splitting with the Angels, the Jays travel north to take on the Oakland Athletics. Lots of people don't like the name Athletics, but I like it because it reminds me of European soccer. Meanwhile, Tegan and Sara continue to provide titles for game thread posts with one of my favorite songs of theirs.
Let's hope this series goes better than last week's, in which the Jays were swept away over three incredibly frustrated games. Toronto after losing 5 of their last 7, finds themselves back at .500 and will need a strong finish to make August appreciably better than their other months. Hey, we didn't lose 30-3.
Not too much else to say, but, in general news, I should bring your attention to Blue Jay Fever, a great new Jays site that features a nice breadth of points of view, a message forum, and very good daily coverage of our heroic Corvidae.
