Doc has a chance to get us to .500 for the 17th time this year. We have spent the whole the season within 6 games of .500, that must be the definition of mediocre. The good news is the A's are in a 6 game losing streak and we are at home, so we can hope for something good this series.
Our lineup? Most the season, it seems to me, that the lineups have been filled by a blind man or by the blind man's seeing eye dog. Is there some point to having Wilk in the lineup (or on the team for that matter). Barajas is hitting .209 since the break, but he bats 5th. I do like Mac playing short for Doc...he'll get lots of work.
Course count be worse, could have Hannahan leading off for us, batting .236. We also get to see our old friend Frank Thomas. Frank's only been back from injury for 3 games.
Two very unimpressive offenses this series but we have a very impressive pitcher going, would like to get him some wins so the Cy Young voters can't just look at his number of wins and rip off.
I should get to watch most of the game. Join me in the thread.
