Jays at Astros Preview and Game Thread

Three Blue Jays are ailing and won't make the trip to Kissimmee.  Vernon Wells hurt his wrist and had a cortisone shot.  He'll miss a few days.  Travis Snider's left knee is bothering him, and Rod Barajas is dealing with a sore back.  None seems serious, though I wonder if Snider's knee is the same injury from his awkward lunge at first base a week or so ago, and Wells' injured wrist is the same one he broke last year making a diving catch.  More problematically, Cito again reiterated that Dustin McGowan is still behind schedule and could well be out for the season.  Ouch.

Ricky Romero starts today for the Jays and Cito maintains he, Brad Mills, and Scott Richmond continue to fight it out for the last 2 spots in the rotation. Neither Mills nor Richmond were particuarly impressive in their most recent outings, so Romero has a good chance if he pitches well today.

Jays' Lineup:

Marco Scutaro, SS
Aaron Hill, 2B
Alex Rios, CF
Kevin Millar, DH
Lyle Overbay, 1B
Adam Lind, LF
Jose Bautista, 3B
Raul Chavez, C
Moises Sierra, RF
