After an exciting game yesterday despite the lousy weather, the Jays and Indians look to take advantage of some better weather in today's Saturday afternoon battle of last year's 1 and 2 AL Cy Young candidates. Roy Halladay took a 2-hitter into the 7th inning his last time out before running into some Inge-shaped problems, while Cliff Lee took a shelling in his first 2009 start.
As you can see, Travis Snider and Lyle Overbay continue to sit against the portsider Lee, though it is hard to argue for doing much tinkering with a lineup that scored 13 runs yesterday. I do hope Cito follows through on his intention to play Snider against lefties this year. In Overbay's case, he will likely sit against lefties when he is slumping and play against them when he is doing well.
I have to run out and get some sparkplugs but should be back for gametime. Let's go Jays!
