Pain in My Heart is Treating Me Cold: Game Thread, Game 17 - Rangers at Jays

An eventful day has seen the Jays' best starter (Ricky Romero) and their worst reliever (B.J. Ryan) thusfar this season go on the DL all in one day. Neither injury sounds super-serious (in B.J.'s case it's almost certainly trumped up bad veteran pitcher disease) but oblique injuries can be a real pain so here's hoping that Romero's isn't major. The fact that the Jays waited a few days to put him on the DL suggests that they were considering that he might not need to be listed, so that's likely good news.

As for today, two control pitchers go at it: Scott Richmond looks to build on a solid last outing against the Twins, while Kevin Millwood looks to keep an excellent start to the season going. I hadn't heard that the Jays had called up anyone to replace B.J. in the bullpen, so I wonder who it'll be. The Jays roll out their opening day lineup against Millwood.
