The title of today's game thread comes from the great Tom Waits and refers, of course, to both the thunderstorms predicted in Kansas City and the Jays having to face the Royals best starter, Zack Greinke. If you haven't heard much about Zack Greinke, he is an incredibly hard-throwing righty who has yet to yield an earned run this season. Brian Tallet makes his third start for the Jays tonight and has yet to throw up a stinker, so let's hope he can keep it up.
Joakim Soria is still unavailable (and should be tomorrow as well), so if the Jays can make Greinke work a little bit, they may be able to get to the Royals bullpen sooner than later, which would be nice, considering that they combined for 5 1/3 innings last night. Unfortunately, having pitched the last two games, Kyle Farnsworth may not be available.
The game thread last night was fun (as was the game), so let's hope we can keep things rolling tonight. I should be around for it, so I hope to see you all out there, too.
We'll see if we can get the game in, as there is a rain delay on now.
UPDATE: They are now planning to start this game at 8:40 EDT tonight
