And In the Evening They're Bringing Me Down: Game Thread, Red Socks at Blue Jays

Today's thread comes from a song off Roman Candle's new record, Oh Tall Tree in the Year, which I have been listening to more or less constantly since I got it earlier this week.

The Jays look to get back on track today and there are no major changes to the team in terms of bullpen or lineup. That said, Cito agreed that he needs to give Jesse Carlson more of a break. In addition, he confirmed that Scott Richmond will be the one skipped over so that the other starters remain on usual rest. Why Richmond? Because "he's the fifth starter." Robert Ray apparently has a right shoulder strain, hopefully it's nothing serious. And Scott Downs, who has been nursing a hamstring strain, is availalbe to pitch - hopefully better than he has his last two times out.

Casey Janssen starts for the Jays, while Jay-frustrator Tim Wakefield pitches for the BoSox. Let's go Jays!
