I Can't Get Over You And the Flame Still Burns: 7/17 Game Thread, Red Sox at Jays

Hi everyone and welcome to post-all-star break baseball! Tonight's thread comes from one of my favourite songs: "It Makes No Difference" by the Band, in honour of the fact that Doc is still a Jay as the all-star break comes to an end.

The Jays open the second half (figuratively if not numerically) with a series at the Rogers Centre agains the Boston Red Sox. Jesse already did a great job previewing the Boston pitchers opposing us, so go read it here!.

There's a great Brian Tallet picture on Bastian's blog, and also some good pre-game notes. Tallet's innings will be monitored, Zep will pitch tomorrow, and Vernon Wells is out of the lineup with a stomach flu.

Ricky Romero v. Clay Buchholz. Should be a great matchup of two great young hurlers.

Unfortunately, David Dellucci and Jose Bautista are the corner outfielders tonight. Having both of those guys in the lineup any given day doesn't make much sense. How long until the Free Travis Snider chants?
