Yesterday's game felt like a repeat of every Doc start since the all-star break. Early runs for the opposition, shaky defense, lousy run support occasioned by lots of hard-hit outs, late-inning runs for the other team off Doc. While on some level it is nice to know that even Doc is only human, I guess, I'm getting tired of this song (unlike the song that supplied today's title, (I'm Not) Angry Anymore, an Elvis Costello gem from My Aim is True that's been one of my favourite songs since I first heard it back in Grade 9.
Anyway, Sergio Mitre pitches today for the Yankees against Marc Rzepczynski, and so at least Kevin Millar isn't batting fourth. Or at all. The dome is open, it's a Wednesday night, and the Jays are looking to even the series up against the Yankees with a young pitcher on the mound, so what better to do than watch baseball? Oh right, I'm still at work. Blargh.
