Let's All Have Another Orange Julius: GameThread for Baltimore Orioles at Toronto Blue Jays, 7 August 2009, 7:07 PM EDT

After the off-day, the Jays look to put together a few wins this weekend against the Baltimore Orioles. The series opens tonight and hopefully Ricky Romero can garner his 11th win (that's as many as Doc has!) in just 18 starts.

Romero had been struggling with his command for a little while (11 BB and 21 H against just 13 K over only 15 2/3 innings in three starts in late-July), but he seems to have corrected whatever issues (his release point looked inconsistent) may have been present, striking out five and walking just one over seven innings last week in Oakland.

Opposing Romero will be Jason Berken, who is 1-1 against the Jays in two starts this season (pitching a combined 10 2/3 innings, striking out four, walking five and yielding 12 hits and four runs).

Voodoo Joe gets the start in left tonight and Lyle Overbay plays first against the righty and bats cleanup.

2009 - Jason Berken 1-9 6.93 1.71 33 25
