After all this, my love is up and must be leaving: Last Home Game Thread

The last home game of the season, so since we've been going with George Harrison songs lately, I thought one of my favorites works for it, All Things Must Pass is a song you can play at my funeral. Everything has a ending.

Anyway, todays game has Brian Tallet starting for the Jays and Ryan Rowland-Smith going for the M's. Unfortunately Smith is a lefty so....well let's lok at the lineup:

Lineup

Seattle Mariners @ Toronto Blue Jays

09/27/09 1:07 PM EDT

Seattle Mariners Toronto Blue Jays
Ichiro Suzuki - RF Jose Bautista - RF
Franklin Gutierrez - CF Aaron Hill - 2B
Jose Lopez - 1B Edwin Encarnacion - 3B
Mike Sweeney - DH Vernon Wells - CF
Adrian Beltre - 3B Randy Ruiz - DH
Bill Hall - LF Rod Barajas - C
Kenji Johjima - C Kevin Millar - 1B
Matt Tuiasosopo - 2B Travis Snider - LF
Josh Wilson - SS John McDonald - SS

Yep...there he is, Kevin Millar. Well, take the good with the bad, Randy Ruiz is starting. No Lind. Encarnacion is batting 3rd. Encarnacion is growing on us all, I'm not against him having the job at 3rd next year.

Speaking of next year, Mike Wilner has up a second draft of what he would do this off season, if he was given $120 million. This time instead of going the free agent route, he is trading for the parts he wants. Suggesting trades is one of those things that is tough to figure. Guessing what another team would take for the player you want is a hard thing to do. I think if you look back at what fans for other teams thought the Jays would take in trade for Roy Halladay shows that people only think about their side when the think about trades. That said, his moves are interesting. I can't see them happening but it's fun to thing about. If it did happen, it would give us a lot to talk about this winter.

Anyway, let's hope for a Ruiz homer. I'm running a boy of to hockey so will likely only see the first couple of innings.
