Jays, Janssen avoid arbitration

They are coming hot and heavy now....why they didn't do this before I put up my piece this morning I don't know. Pushing it down the page. Oh well, here is the press release:

BLUE JAYS AGREE TO TERMS WITH JANSSEN

The TORONTO BLUE JAYS have agreed to terms with RHP CASEY JANSSEN on a contract for the 2010 season.

JANSSEN, 28, agreed to terms on a $700,000 US contract for the 2010 season. The 6-4, 210 lb. right hander appeared in 21 games, including five starts, recording a 2-4 record with one save and a 5.85 ERA. The Orange, California native has a 10-17 career record with seven saves and a 4.27 ERA in 110 games, including 22 starts.

The Blue Jays have three arbitration eligible players remaining, who have yet to agree to terms for the 2010 season; RHP Jason Frasor, RHP Jeremy Accardo and LHP Brian Tallet.
