Wow, has everyone had a bad week at work like me? The discussions lately around these parts have become quite heated. It seems a line has been drawn in the sand and most people are coming down on one side or the other. That line? Yep, Looks a lot like Lyle Overbay and Cito "Clarence" Gaston. Now without getting too far into it both sides have merits to their arguments, but you know what I'm just gonna let the numbers speak: Left handed splits 2009 .190/.256/.278 -- 2008 .215/.285/.255. Now you may just look at those and see some numbers and think "Well he had the hand injury and has never really been the same since then", and that is a very valid point. Let me counterpoint.... HE NEEDS TO PLATOON! FOR THE LOVE OF STIEB LET HIM PLATOON! For reference I have included this handy video on the proper tone the preceding sentence is to be read in.

Tonight Toronto needs to win to even up the series after dropping 2 games to 1. Yesterdays game was not pretty. It was the first game I really missed this season and I guess I picked a good one to be doing stuff. Hopefully we can have a repeat performance from Eveland's start last week rather then a continuation of last night. Eveland was just great in his first start of the season. He really showed why he earned the rotation spot after a strong Spring. If he keeps it up it will be a really awesome low cost pickup.

Opposing the great Dana will be Freddy Garcia. Freddy had a strong outting in his first game even though he was a bit wild he went 7 innings with only 3 hits but 5 walks. Tough to take a loss after only giving up 2 runs in 7 innings.

W-L G GS CG SHO SV BS IP H R ER HR BB K ERA WHIP
2010 - Dana Eveland 1-0 1 1 0 0 0 0 7.1 5 0 0 0 2 2 0.00 .95

2010 - Freddy Garcia 0-1 1 1 0 0 0 0 7.0 3 2 2 1 5 4 2.57 1.14

In other news Edwin Encarnacion will be sitting out with a sore arm. Bautista will take over at 3B and Jeremy Reed will be in RF. Travis will be back in LF and Lind back at DH.

Apparently the sore arm will keep Edwin out for a few games to be re-evaluated so odds are we will see Reed, McCoy and McDonald a few more times with both Hill and Edwin out. But yes no Ruiz (That one is for you aagoodfella).

Tune in after the jump for Series Info and Linups
