Where's the blue sky? Where's the grass? Game 21 Sox @ Jays

Well I missed the game last night but after catching the score I couldn't help but wonder about the consistency of our team. Scoring a boat load of runs one game and then nothing the next. Of course the same can be said for the Sox. As frustrating as it has been for us can you imagine what it must be like to be a Sox fan? It's one thing for a team that has already been branded as a re-builder and a team with the possibility to lose 100 to go through some ups and downs, but a favorite? Ouch.

Today we try to avoid the sweep and at the same time stop a 4 game losing streak. To do it? The Tao mancrush Brett Cecil takes the mound against fellow Lefty Jon Lester. Lester has struggled this year like most of the Sox pitchers, but I have no doubt that we will be in tough today. Whether that is because Lester is nailing his spots or our hitters continue their "power-hitting" swing from the heels approach remains to be seen.

Cecil wants to follow up his strong debut performance. Last year against the Sox? Not good. He got shelled in two outings. He is 0-2 with a 12.00 ERA with only 9 innings against the Sox.... Let's hope the rookie jitters playing against the big boys has worn off and he shows off that strike out pitch.
