Ok Jays, Thats enough quit messin around and win. We all know the story. Last year at this exact time we went on a 9 game road trip and promptly lost all 9 which started out tailspin for the rest of the season. And now that we have lost 3 in a row it is starting to make people think it is going to happen again. You need to put a stop to it right now.
We send our top of the rotation to put an end to this slide. Marcum has continued to throw a good game after good game. He has been everything we could possibly have wanted in a number 1 starter and all of this despite this being his first year back from Tommy John. Amazing. Opposing him will be Billy Buckner, I don't really know much about Billy so I am going throw up his stats for the year which just happens to only be 1 start so far. He was just recalled last Thursday from the Dbacks AAA affiliate. From SBNation's scouting report:
- Throws a very good curveball, and most of his pitches have movement. Can both start and relieve, and is resilient enough to be used early and often.
On the plus side his flaws are listed as giving up a lot of hits and a lot of home runs. So that bodes well for us since we seem to like hitting the long balls.
Couple of lineup changes. Johnny Mac in at SS batting 7th and Jose Molina in at C batting 8th. That is a black hole at the back of our lineup..... Also Wells gets a day off with Lewis moving over to CF, Lind in LF and Bautista batting cleanup in RF. I don't like the looks of this.
Tune in after the jump for Series info and Lineups.
Keep it Civil and Go Jays Go
Today's title marks the first time I've used a movie twice as this one comes from XMen, but honestly it is how I feel about playing the DBacks at the moment.
