Fundamentals? In the middle of the season? Gm 47 - Jays @ Angels

I hope everyone is enjoying their May 24 long weekend. I had a great day today, I slept in, woke up ate some Cookie Crisp that my in-laws brought back for me from the states (We don't get it in Canada), took my girls to a playground, came home and napped. Got up went to the inlaws for dinner, had another quick nap after dinner, woke up drove home and now I am having a nice glass of Rye and Coke waiting for the game to start. Best day ever.

Thankfully we won yesterday, after 3 losses in a row people were starting to panic while we were thinking about the 9 game losing streak last year. So far on this road trip we are 2-3 which while is not great. Its not horrible end of the world type numbers either. Marcum may have only gone 5 but it was a different feeling to the game with him in there. That is what a number 1 pitcher is suppose to do. Then again scoring a ton of runs is always nice too.

Today we cruise into Anaheim to take on the LA Angels of Anaheim. I think they should add a few more titles to their name. The kings of the hill today will be Brett Cecil for the Blue Birds taking on Joe Saunders of the Halos. Saunders dominated us last time out as Tom pointed out in his series preview. Last time out for Cecil? Well he was pretty good too going against a weak hitting Seattle lineup. He ended up winning the game without his glasses!.

Full disclosure here, The Angels have been my second favorite team for awhile now. And I am not entirely sure why. It may be because Vladi was here for awhile and he has always been a favorite of mine, I have always liked their stadium with the rock and waterfall in CF. And it may have something to do with the fact that in MLB 06 the show (The first one in the series) I found my first real success as a Starting Pitcher in the Angels organization winning multiple Cy Youngs and World Series.

As for the Lineups, now that we are out of the NL park we get our DH back. Which means we are able to get Lewis, Bautista, EE and Lind all into a Lineup without having to sit someone. One thing I am really surprised about with the lineup, EE is batting 9th. Yep that's right after the great power that he has shown in the last series he was actually dropped in the order and is now hitting behind Buck.

Tune in after the jump for Lineups and Series Info.
