Dunedin

They won 10-3 over Clearwater. That makes them 37-24 and in first place by 3.5 games, going into the All-Star break. Five Jays made the team: Henderson Alvarez, Travis d'Arnaud, Yan Gomes, Tyler Pastornicky and Matt Daly. You got a pretty good team if you send two catchers to the All-Star team.

  • Scott Richmond made his first rehab start. He got the win, went 5.2, 4 hits, 1 earned, 2 walks, 2 k. Pretty good for his first time out there. 
  • Adeiny Hechavarria: 0 for 4, walk, run, steal (5th), he also made two errors. .234.
  • Brad McElroy: 2 for 4, double, 2 runs, 1 RBI, walk, steal. .246.
  • Travis d'Arnaud: 1 for 3, double, 2 runs, RBI, walk. .300.
  • Michael McDade: 2 for 4, double, HR, 4 RBI. .295.
  • John Tolisano: 2 for 3, double, HR, walk, 2 runs. He was also 3 for 4 with a homer yesterday. .309 on the season, .432/.512/.811 over his last 10 games. 
  • Wellington Ramirez: 2 for 4, RBI. .275.

Won 7-3 to Peoria. They are 32-27 in 3rd, 6.5 back.
