I'm So Tired My Mind is on the Blink, Game Thread, Game 79, Jays at Tribe

Trying to get back into the swing of things after coming back from our little trip. I'm still needing to catch up on sleep, I really need a vacation from my vacation. Maybe something with no driving involved.

Anyway, it seems like the team has gone into a collective little slump of late, offensively and defensively. About the only one hitting the last few days is Vernon Wells who is hitting .414, with three home runs over the last 8 games. I guess Lyle has been hitting a bit of late, 5 hits in his last 15 at bats. He needs 1 more hit to get to 1000 in his career.

Jesse Litsch gets the start today. In his three starts for us he's had 2 terrible ones and 1 very good one. He's been so good in his short career, you gotta figure he'll find it again but it does seem like he was called up from rehab a bit too quickly.

Today's lineups:

Lineup

Toronto Blue Jays @ Cleveland Indians

06/30/10 7:05 PM EDT

Toronto Blue Jays Cleveland Indians
Fred Lewis - LF Trevor Crowe - CF
Alex Gonzalez - SS Shin-Soo Choo - RF
Jose Bautista - RF Carlos Santana - C
Vernon Wells - CF Travis Hafner - DH
John Buck - C Austin Kearns - LF
Lyle Overbay - 1B Jhonny Peralta - 3B
Aaron Hill - DH Matt LaPorta - 1B
Nick Green - 2B Anderson Hernandez - 2B
Jarrett Hoffpauir - 3B Jason Donald - SS

Yeah we have Nick Green and Jarrett Hoffpauir in the lineup today. And John Buck is hitting 5th. It should be interesting.

The Jays should be happy to see the end of June. We are 9 and 16 this month.

Title is from the Beatles' song "I'm So Tired", one of John's many complaining songs. He was so good at them.
