Hey! Long time no chat. While we were away I made a sandwich, had a drink and made some chicken for my girls dinner. I know this isn't terribly exciting, I just got nothing else to write about since this mornings/afternoons game.
For the second half of the double header we have a bit of a wild card of a pitching matchup. In a move that I was surprised at, Rzep was optioned back down to AAA and Litsch remained with the big team. Therefore he takes his regular turn in the rotation today taking on Jeremy Bonderman from the Tigers. Litsch so far since coming back from Tommy John has had an extreme up and down go of it, he has had some decent starts and some downright awful ones that has a lot of people questioning whether or not he had enough time to rehab. Given our other options of Rzep and Mills it is something that you have to wonder if it was completely necessary to rush him back to the big league level.
The lineup for game 2 features some drastic changes. First Lewis is back leading off and playing LF. He is followed by Escobar and Bautista in their regular 2 and 3 spots playing SS and RF respectively. Then it starts to get weird. Overbay is batting 4th as Wells gets the second game off, Buck is behind the plate in the 5th spot followed by Lind and Encarnacion. Rounding out the order is Wise playing CF for Wells and McDonald batting 9th for Hill.
So at the very least McDonald is not batting 2nd but this Lineup looks seriously out of whack. Granted with the way Overbay has been hitting lately I can't really argue with him batting 4th.
So tune in after the jump for Lineups and Series info. Stick around for the comments as this game should be interesting one to watch.
Keep it Civil and Go Jays Go
