It's good to be home, really its just good to be anywhere else other then Fenway. No matter how many injuries those guys get they are always a tough team to play. They have some really good pitching and before the series started I would have been the most afraid of Lester and wouldn't you know it that is the one game that everything went smoothly. After the poor showing in the last two games of the Boston series we fell back to 6 games behind Boston in the race for third and 11.5 behind TB in the race for the wild card. It's a tough crowd.
Tonight on the mound we have a rookie making his Major league debut for the Yanks. Ivan Nova had some strong numbers pitching in the AAA International League. He was 12-3 with a 2.86 ERA in 145IP he K'd 115 while walking 48, Let's hope he gets the butterflies enough for us to bat around a few times. On the Jays side we have Brandon Morrow looking to rebound from his last start where he only lasted 4 innings on a limited pitch count and did not good. His velocity and control were down across the board.
For our lineup, Guess whos back!
With EE back in the lineup it pushes Bautista back to RF and pushes Snider right back to the bench. Lewis gets the start in Left and leads off. The rest of the lineup shapes up the usual way with Wells, Lind, Hill, Overbay, EE and Molina rounding out the rest.
Tune in after the jump for Series info and Lineups.
Keep it Civil and Go Jays Go.
