Jays stay with Las Vegas

Here is the press release:

Blue Jays EXTEND AGREEMENT WITH Las Vegas

the TORONTO BLUE JAYS have signed a two-year player development contract with the LAS VEGAS 51s of the Pacific Coast League (AAA), that continues a relationship that began in 2009.

"We are pleased to continue our relationship with such a strong organization in Las Vegas, Nevada for the 2011 & 2012 seasons. General Manager Don Logan, Manager of Baseball Administration Denise Korach and staff provide a professional environment for our minor league talent to develop."

-- Tony LaCava, Assistant General Manager, Player Development

Las Vegas joined Syracuse, New York in 2009 as the only Triple-A affiliates in franchise history.

Tom Back: I guess we knew that was happening, it is pretty tough to change, unless another team is unhappy with their affiliate there aren't extra Triple-A cities to change to.
