Well game 1 went nicely, Rzep struck out a ton before coming a little unhinged in the 5th inning, AJ Burnett gets lit up and pulled after 2 and Gregg has a shut down 9th inning to preserve the win and the guaranteed 500 season.
There was a nice bit in the Toronto Sun today (Now there is an oxymoron), the first 4 pages in the Sports Section were all dedicated to Cito Gastons time with the Jays. There was a list in there about the Cito Gaston "All Time" Team. It was pretty much the 92/93 team which makes sense although I was surprised to not see Halladay as the RHP and instead see David Cone, granted Cito didn't spent much time with Halladay, and Ed Sprague was the 3B listed, one could have made an argument for this years Bautista to be there.
For tonights game we have current Ace CC Sabathia taking on potential future ace Kyle Drabek. This is going to be quite the test for Drabek's last start of the year. He has looked both good and bad in parts of his last two starts and it would be nice to see him put together a solid start and a win to close out the year especially if its against the Yanks.
For our lineup.... I can't believe this.... but people on Bluebirdbanter actually called this about a week ago. JP Arencibia gets the start at DH as Lind sits against the tough Lefty. I can't believe Cito actually saved JPA to play against CC, Given more and more credence to the idea that he is setting him up to fail (Which I know is crazy ridiculous but it does kinda seem that way). Other then that, Snider gets the start in LF and leads off and everyone else is in their normal spot. JPA will bat 9th and bump up Edwin one spot.
