Minor League Update: September 6

The last day of the season for our minor league teams. We'll take a look at how players on each team did over the next little while.

Las Vegas ends its season with a loss to Portland 6-5. They finish 66-78 good for last in the PCL Pacific South, 13 games back of Sacramento.

  • Brad Mills: 6.0, 9 hits, 3 earned, 7 k. 4.97. Really good start. I hope he gets to finish the year with the Jays.
  • Willie Collazo: 1.0, 2 hits, 1 unearned run, blown save. 4.70.
  • Jamie Vermilyea: 1.0, 2 hits, 2 earned, 1 walk, loss. 0-1, 5.40.

  • Matt Liuzza: 2 for 3, run, walk. .250/.353/.417, 4 HR, 11 RBI in 37 Fisher Cat games.

Lansing beat Lake County 11-0. Lansing finishes 34-36 in 4th of 8 teams in the Midwest League Eastern division.

  • Casey Lawrence: 7.0, 2 hits, 5 k, win. 1-1, 3.98 in 3 Lansing starts. he was 6-1 with a 1.74 ERA in 10 Auburn starts. Not bad for an undrafted player.
