Jays Name Pete Walker Bullpen Coach

Pat Hentgen is leaving the every day role of being bullpen coach for "family reasons" and will become 'Special Assistant to the Organization. I really don't know what that means but I'm hoping that he'll be helping out at spring training and maybe helping in the minor leagues at times.

Pete Walker becomes bullpen coach. Walker was a pitcher for the Jays, from 2002 to 2006, making 124 appearances, 31 starts for the team. He was 19-14, with  4.32 ERA for us. He was pitching coach for the New Hampshire Fisher Cats for the 2011 season.

I'm sad to see Hentgen leaving. He seemed like a good guy.

The Jay are also telling us that all the other coaches, from 2011, will be back in the same roles next year. That is nice to see, I was worried that, with the open jobs, in Boston and other places, that some might be lured away.
