Another day, another Ace. Just our luck. Last time out we we're absolutely dominated by Weaver. He mowed through our lineup racking up 15Ks. It doesn't get any easier at this point as we next face the reigning Cy Young award winning pitcher. Ain't life wonderful.
First up we have some news to share with the class. Wilner has tweeted the following:
Gathering info - Rajai Davis headed to DL; McCoy to return tomorrow. Snider has de-stache-ified. Rivera not in line-up tonight. #bluejays
So Davis is out with a little more then just a sore ankle, With Patterson back and McCoy being recalled I feel fine about our defensive options but our offense certainly has a different feel when Davis isn't around. Hopefully he takes the proper time to heal up this time around.
So far on the year Hernandez is looking exactly the same as last year. Pitching fantastic and yet still not going to be enough most nights in front of that lineup. He threw a complete game in his first game of the season and has kept a WHIP under 1 between the first two starts. Simply put you aren't going to get many chances against this guy so we have to make it count when we do. I am trying muster up the confidence of being able to do that after the Angels series. Really I am.
Litsch goes for the Jays and looks to build on a strong first start. He pitches well again today and you have to think he locks up his spot for when Morrow comes back.

So, no Rivera and no Encarnacion in the field. I know that makes a lot of people happy so... hurray?
