I can't believe I missed the comeback last night , 2 runs against Rivera and a walk off in the tenth? Awesome. Of course any win against the Yankees is always fun, but a comeback win like this goes down extra sweet.
Sorry for the short gamethread post today, was running errands and just got home now.
Brett Cecil looks to build off his last start against the Boston Red Sox where he only gave up two hits (yes I know they were both HR's but he was good other then that), he takes on Bartolo Colon. If you listen to our Podcast you may remember in our AL East preview that Tom laughed about the potential of Colon being in the rotation and asked if that was a signal that you are giving up.... so if he shuts us down tonight you know who to blame.
Our lineups (side note to SBNation, please get the widget working again)
#Bluejays line-up v #yankees: Escobar6, Patterson7, Bautista9, Lind3, Encarnacion0, Arencibia2, Snider7, Nix4, McDonald5 - Cecil v. Colon
#yankees line-up v #bluejays: Jeter6, Swisher9, Teixeira3, Rodriguez5, Cano4, Jones7, Posada0, Martin2, Granderson8 - Colon v Cecil
Interesting notes, Snider has been dropped again, Farrell said yesterday it was because of his good numbers against Burnett that he was raised. Patterson takes back over the two spot. Secondly Hill is still out with the tight hamstring injury that he aggravated sliding into 2nd the last game, Nix takes over his spot at 2nd. With Nix shifting over to 2nd base, Johnny Mac takes over at 3rd.
For the Yankees, A-Rod is back in the lineup (The A stands for.....) and we get to see Jones in the outfield in place of Gardner.
Remember to keep it Civil and Go Jays Go
