Great game yesterday, it was nice to see the Jays put up some offense (Albeit all in just one inning) and the pitching staff do their thing to get the win. It was nice to see Drabek only issue two walks, less so about the 2Ks but since I didn't see the game I will have to defer to more expert opinions on how he looked.
In keeping with baseball superstitions regarding routines since the Jays won last night and I missed pretty much all of the game, I will be doing the same tonight! Taking one for the team! I will be popping in occasionally so all of you ruckus causers will still have to behave.
Tonight on the hill, Jesse Litsch makes his triumphed return to the Blue Jays after being recalled less then 10 days after he was optioned down to Vegas. Personally I am glad to see him back as I felt he pitched well enough to avoid being sent down in the first place. He takes on Matt Harrison whose numbers have looked great on the young season. It looks like he is getting a bit lucky on BABIP so far with it staying under .200, he doesn't strike a lot of guys out, but he is keeping his K/BB ratio over 2 anyways. So he is doing some things right.
Lineups, stolen from twitter:
Tonight's Line-up vs. @Rangers: Escobar-SS, Patterson-CF, Bautista-RF, Lind-1B, Rivera-DH, Arencibia-C, Snider-LF, McDonald-2B, McCoy-3B
Texas Rangers - Lineup 4/26: Kinsler 2B, Andrus SS, Young DH, Beltre 3B, Cruz RF, Murphy LF, Torrealba C, Davis 1B, Borbon CF,
Another game without Edwin Encarnacion, we have been hearing each day how they fully expect him back the next day and then the next day and so on and so on. Anyone starting to get a little worried here? Apparently he still felt pain when he went to hit today in the cage. Not good. But no worries because Arash Madani says he may return Wednesday! #BrokenRecord. Apparently he is taking grounders in infield practice so maybe he is close, but I really want him back soon.
Keep it Civil and Go Jays Go
