Yay! More inter-league, its like totally my favorite thing ever! I don't even really want to discuss it anymore since it's been done to death, but I am really done with inter-league. Bring on the balanced schedule and non-divisioned leagues. They say the best thing about the National league game is the additional strategy involved since the pitcher is in the lineup. I dunno, with the pitcher being pretty much an automatic out I don't see much strategy there. You may point out the double switches and stuff that happens on the field, but to that I just kinda shrug and say, well if we are watching at home and can easily see what times a manager should do a double switch... really... how much strategy is in that? The most strategic part of the game in my opinion is the pitching matchups with the pen and defensive alignment, both of which the Jays deal with in the AL. In fact the Jays have to do deal with it more in the AL since we actually have to face 9 hitters instead of 8.
On the mound to kick off the series in the Great American SmallPark is Jo Jo Reyes. I don't like Reyes which most people know, but credit where credit is due. He has been a lot better this year then I expected, in fact given how bad our rotation has been this year... he has been ... at the very very least serviceable.
