The Blue Jays have signed Yunel Escobar to an extension. He is signed for 2012 and 2013 for $5 million a season. and then there are 2 team options for 2014 and 2015, both at $5 million a year.
Yunel has been great for us, since picking him, and Jo-Jo Reyes, up in a trade from the Braves for Alex Gonzalez, Tim Collins and Tyler Pastornicky. The contract seems pretty good deal to me. He is worth at least $5 million a year.
