Hey everyone, did you hear that Yunel has attitude problems? That jerk causes so much trouble there is no way the Jays would lock him up buying out his arbitration years.... oh wait. Well.... I wonder if Atlanta has any other good players they want to get rid of because they have swag...
Tonight we have the battle of young pitchers as Zach Stewart gets his second start in a big league uniform. His first start was a non-decision but he did well lasting 7 innings while only giving up the 2 runs. He is up against Mike Minor who is still hunting for his first win this year. This is a kid who was drafted 7th overall in the 2009 draft and made his debut last year. This was a case where going to college actually paid off for a prospect as he was initially drafted in 2006 in the 13th round by the Rays. That being said its a lot easier to turn down a 13th round signing bonus to go to college on what is likely a baseball scholorship as opposed to turning down millions if you are picked in the first round. A quick scout around shows that Minor doesn't throw very hard (High 80's to low 90's) his plus pitch is his changeup and apparently also a hard slider.
Keep it Civil and Go Jays GO!
